A Home of Our Own (cont.)
Well, it has been a few days since I have posted anything, but I've been feeling under the weather again. Pink eye this time. I had it so bad that I went to the ER at 4:00 am so I would be able to sleep a little, and get some meds in my eye so I wouldn't feel so bad about going to work that day. I was worried someone else in the family was going to get it and I would definitely have to take off work, so I wanted to make sure I went in yesterday. Well I still felt really bad about possibly getting everyone there sick, so I took today off anyway. I have so much crap in my eyes I can barely see this, but here goes. I have gone out to the house a couple of times, and it seems to really be coming along.
We have tile (though no grout yet) by the fireplace and front entryway,
We have a really ugly ceiling fan in the living room, with its twin in the master...
Countertops and mirror and 'beautiful' lighting in the bathrooms...the correct countertops now in the kitchen, and also a dishwasher...
And the brick is finally complete throughout the house. Though it is not exactly the same as the brick I chose. It should have the same colors, but with a lot of lighter grayish bricks thrown in, so it doesnt look so dark. The paint is supposed to pick up the purplish accents in the brick, but since there are no gray bricks, the purple color is no longer an accent color, but the main color, and Im afraid the paint is going to look horrible. We'll see. I may have to repaint it a grayish-tannish-taupy color.

The carpet and vinyl flooring is to be installed today, but the guys had just started, so I didn't get any pics. Ill go back later today, to get some.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I have to go sanitize the keyboard.
